The Metamodern art manifesto advocates for a balance between tradition and innovation, rejecting the cynicism of postmodernism and embracing hope, optimism, and sincerity. The movement aims to create impactful art that encourages reflection and growth while reflecting the complexity of reality and promoting empathy and understanding.

THE CHURCH OF DIGITAL
shift/walls 2022 - the open ateliers and an exhibition space project by Künstlerhaus at the Kunsthaus throughout the 17 days for 8 artists: Alfred Stoll, Kashi Meyer, Otakar Skala, Simona Leyzerovich, René Radomsky, Martin Gerstenberger and the duo "hadihopsasa", consisting of Viola Karaalioğlu and Tim Auzinger.
Metamodernism describes the processes and phenomena in culture and society from the beginning of the new millennium to the present. This concept was introduced by Dutch philosophers Timotheus Vermeulen and Robin van den Acker.

METAMODERN GROTESK
In a solo exhibition Metamodern Grotesk at the cultural centre House of the German East in Munich, digital artist Alfred Stoll is pleased to present his digital art collection on the theme of a retrospective of the grotesque in different cultural epochs with a contemporary, sometimes ironic look at the weird forms and figures of western culture.
Digital drawing is a drawing created using graphics software. Alfred Stoll performs his works in one of the graphic apps on his smartphone, mainly with the help of his right index finger. Here are selected artworks made in this technique.
Constantly oscillating between subjective and objective, fictional and real, past and present, virtual and real, the artist is forced to seek support in himself through the reflection of feelings, ideas, and emotions, which gives rise to a "new romanticism" in art in which the artist's authenticity and his perception of the world are of paramount importance.
This collection shows a dialogue between the atmosphere of a place and the person. In order to understand the truth, the metamodern individual not only conducts a constant internal and external dialogue, but also co-creates through the creation of "atmospheres" of his reality.

RED POINT
Alfred Stoll's debut digital art exhibition "Red point" featured 10 giclées on canvas as well as digital paintings, drawings and motion art on two displays. Alfred Stoll considers a painting finished only when he is completely satisfied and delighted with it, and the last thing he often paints in his work to complete it is that red dot/point that often appears in his paintings.
Finding themselves in a dead‑end of postmodern values, which can no longer satisfy the further development of culture and society, the metamodern person is trying to build a new relationship with truth and its understanding.
Mosaic from culture shards. Before creating something new, look around, and you will realize that you are standing on the top of a thousand-year-old mountain of fragments of culture that require faceting for a long time.
Alfred Stoll's digital painting consists of mixing images from free photo stocks by overlapping, stylizing and inverting the images. It is an uncontrolled process of mixing everything at hand until interesting images and complex textures emerge, which are already deliberately completed by the necessary actions.
What is "Russian Decadence" or Narratives of Decline and Decay in a Country of Forgotten Aesthetes? Russian decadence has several characteristic narratives that have a toxic effect on all social, political and domestic processes taking place in the country. The digital art collection "Russian Decadence" is dedicated to these narratives.
Digital collage is an art form created by combining and overlaying various virtual images and textures from different sources to create a completely new piece of art.
Animation graphics, aka motion graphics, are the visual art that animates a static image and can be used in virtual space using augmented or virtual reality.
